Finally, Caseificio Val d’Apsa has launched its first goat cheese.
Its name itself, "Fiocco di neve" (Snowflake), makes it clear that this is a very unusual product. This cheese is made only from goat milk and vegetable rennet. The cheese's small size, creamy consistency and milky-white colour have inspired its name, "Fiocco di neve" (Snowflake), like Heidi's famous little goat.
The packaging which wraps and protects the cheese has a "spotted" decoration which resembles stylised snowflakes.
Nourishing, delicate, healthy and particularly easy to digest thanks to its low fat content, it is the ideal cheese for small children but will also be a firm favourite with all those who wish to watch their weight but still include cheese in their diet.
